About Pete Monfre

I didn’t start out as a “high value” advisor. Far from it.

 

When I first went out on my own as a consultant, I had already built a multimillion-dollar firm serving Fortune 100 and mid-market clients. I thought that reputation would carry over.

 

Instead, I found myself working with small, difficult clients for low fees. I was overworked, underpaid, and frustrated.

 

It took years of trial and error—reading everything I could find, talking to peers, and hiring coaches—before I understood what the top 2% of advisors were doing differently.

Eventually, through the guidance of several particularly seasoned advisor, I uncovered the deliberate strategies that allowed consultants to position themselves as the go-to experts in their space.

 

Once I began applying those methods, everything shifted. I returned to working with major brands like GE, Harley-Davidson, Kimberly-Clark, and Abbott Laboratories. But more importantly, I had clarity.

 

I knew how to communicate my value, how to choose the right clients, and how to set fees that reflected the true worth of my work.

 

That experience is why I do what I do today. I take the lessons it took me decades to unravel and share them with other coaches, consultants, and experts who are ready to stop guessing, stop struggling, and start being seen, and paid, as trusted advisors.
