BuyCostumes came to us with the goal of transforming it’s brick and mortar operation into a leading on-line e-tail business in the earliest days of online commerce.
Clarity conducted customer and competitive research to uncover critical buying habits, preferences and attitudes.
From this data we developed a complete marketing and branding strategy that included corporate identity, positioning, advertising (traditional and online), public relations, budgets and more.
Finally, Clarity’s Interactive development team developed the company’s first extensive e-commerce site.
BuyCostumes.com grew from $1.5 million in revenue to over $30 million in four years. The company’s founder sold the company in 2006 for a reported $90m.
While we cannot take complete credit for the company’s phenomenal growth (and ultimate purchase by Liberty Brands), our work set the stage for exponential growth. It is now the largest e-tailer of costumes in the world.
